Things to Do While I'm Stuck at Home
Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,
I know this break is odd and began abruptly so many did not have time to formulate a plan on what to do. Be assured that our administration is working to develop a plan for us to continue learning and they will send that as soon as they are able. In the meantime, in order to keep your minds active and prevent you from withering away of boredom, here are a few ideas I have gathered of some things you can do at home.
play a board game with your family
take a walk
definitely take breaks from electronic games and the news
develop a schedule for your activities
see how you can help around the house
take a virtual tour of a famous museum:
if you are on Facebook, search for a page called "Make." This art teacher is offering live art lessons throughout the week at 11 a.m. Pacific Time. Check her page for needed supplies (mostly things you already have at home) and join in the fun!
the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens Facebook pages is offering a daily Home Safari experience at noon Pacific, starting today with a hippo named Fiona.
more virtual field trips:
and here is a list of education companies offering free subscriptions due to school closings:
Finally, I want to end with one of my favorite verses; I hope this brings you peace, knowing God is in control and His plan for us is sure.
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
God bless you and your families; I look forward to seeing you again soon!
